On Wednesday March 4, 2026, the McKinney Christian Varsity Girls Soccer won State for their third year in a row. With their ten seniors leading, the Lady Mustangs led the team to their victory that ended 4-1. They went the whole season undefeated. Senior, Tatum Barnard, senior, Sadie Zbranek, junior, Aubrey Hagstrom, and sophomore, Elizabeth Thompson, all scored goals to add to the score. Senior, Hannah Doshier, senior, Lizzie Gutschlag, Zbranek and Barnard were named All State awards after the game. When asked about the season, Freshman, Kate Thomas, answered, “This team is incredible. We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better season. With the coaches, players, and support we had from everyone, we knew we were going to be unstoppable from the very beginning. I’m so proud to say I’m a State Champion!”
