Winter sports seasons are kicking off this week while many fall sports continue late due to COVID-19. The wrestling team has a clear view to the state title with three medalists returning from last year and many football players joining this year. Boys and girls soccer teams are both hoping to find the playoffs again in the new district after each team lost in the Bi-district round last year. The basketball teams both welcome a new head coach this year in their efforts to repeat their district championships. Indoor track had a successful first season last year and will resume traveling to a variety of colleges competing against club teams this season. The same COVID-19 limitations will apply for winter sports; limited number of fans at sports events, social distancing at all times and schools getting to choose whether or not to wear masks during activities.
