On Tuesday, December 6, the McKinney Christian Academy varsity cheer team travelled to Belton, Texas and competed in the State Cheer competition. The girls received the State Runner-up title. Sophomore Destiny Margraves said, “This year was a great step into the right direction for the coming years. The outcome wasn’t exactly what we hoped for, but in the end we grew closer as a team.” Sophomores Elise Winston and Ava Leffingwell both received the title First Team All State and sophomores Libby Davenport and Destiny Margraves both received the title Second Team All State.
