Baseball Wins First Game of the Season

On Saturday, February 4, the McKinney Christian Academy Varsity Baseball team faced off against Tyler Grace. The team played well starting their season off to a great start. Throughout the game, runs from Junior Jax Marshall, Sophomore Teague Spivey, Junior Conner Jarzombek, Sophomore Jackson Johnson, Sophomore Judd Witte and Freshman Tennyson Clark ensuring the 7-5 win for the Mustangs. Going into the seventh inning, the Mustangs were down 3-5 with the hopes of coming back and ending the game with a win. In the bottom of the final inning Marshall was up at bat with the bases loaded. Marshall proceeds to hit a grand slam putting the Mustangs ahead of the Cougars 7-5. Junior Jax Marshall said, “Winning this game really makes me excited to see what the rest of the season has in store for this team. We have a lot of chemistry already and I can’t wait for future games”.
