On Friday, March 24, The Mustangs Varsity Baseball team traveled to the Texas Star in Euless, Texas to face the 8-3 Pantego Panthers in a non-district game. The first game of the two was lost 11-0 to the Panthers. In the second game, the Mustangs kept it close but ended up losing the game 13-9. Mustangs sophomore third baseman, Judd Witte, said, “These games obviously didn’t go the way we wanted them to, but I think this team has a lot of potential to be great and it was a good learning experience.” The Mustangs are now 8-8, but undefeated in district with a 4-0 record. The Mustangs’ next series will be against the Brook Hill Guard. They are looking to defend their undefeated district record at home on Tuesday, March 28, and then travel to Brook Hill on Friday March 31, to face the Guard once again.
