McKinney Christian Academy Varsity Baseball Team Wins Both Matches Against Tyler All Saints

On Tuesday April 18th, McKinney Christian Academy varsity baseball team played against Tyler All Saints away. The Mustangs started off with a two run triple by senior Nate McMahon. This started a quick rally, with the Mustangs scoring 7 runs in the first inning. The Mustangs ended up victorious with a score of 14-4. The team collected eight total hits for the game, with juniors Jax Marshall and Landen Jones leading with two hits each. Jones also pitched 5 innings, only letting up six hits and four runs. After the game, Marshall added,”I was proud of the way we played. It is always hard playing games like this but we did what we needed to do.” The Mustangs next game is at home on Wednesday, April 19th against Tyler All Saints again.

On Wednesday April 19th, The Mustangs faced off against Tyler All Saints to finish off the series. The Mustangs were looking forward to sweep the series against Tyler All Saints and get the win on Senior Night. Just like the game before, the team had a combined 10 hits, with 3 players also having a multiple hit game. Senior Nate McMahon went 3-3 on the day, having a great Senior Night. The Mustangs in the field made zero errors, which allowed the team to also produce the 10 to zero shutout against Tyler All Saints. The Mustangs’ next game is against the Mansfield Knights on Monday, April 24th at Dallas Baptist University.
