Varsity Golf Plays in District Tournament

On Monday, April 18, the McKinney Christian Academy golf teams traveled to Dallas to play in the TAPPS 4A district golf tournament at Luna Vista Golf Course. The boys and girls teams both finished in fifth place for the tournament. The boys top scores were from junior captain Nicholas Catullo who shot an 84 coming to come in 14th place. Sophomore Jude Westra shot an 89. For the Lady Mustangs, junior Milania Vance came in eighth place and senior captain Lily Jornod in ninth place, to advance to regionals. When asked about the tournament Jornod said, ” I played really well and I’m happy where my game is at right now, I’m super excited to play in regionals and hopefully advance to state.” The regionals tournament will be Monday, April 24 at Squaw Valley Golf Course in Glen Rose, TX.
