Mustangs Make a Statement at Track Regionals

On Wednesday, April 26, the McKinney Christian Academy varsity track team competed in the TAPPS Regional track meet, which featured a variety of other schools, all of which were competing to go to the state meet in Waco. Junior Noah Wheeler qualified for state in the 200m, junior David Roller qualified in the 1600m and 3200m, senior Belle Kanz qualified for the 200m, and Kaylin Starling qualified for shot put. The girls 4×4 and the girls 4×2, along with the girls 4×1 also advanced to state. After the meet, senior Lexi Pogue talks about qualifying for state saying, “I’m super excited for this chance to run in the state meet my senior year, the competitive nature and the atmosphere at state is unlike anything else.”

The state track meet for TAPPS will take place on Saturday, May 6, in Waco, TX.
