    The Lady Mustangs Face Off Against a District Rival

    On Friday, January 19, the McKinney Christian Academy women’s varsity basketball team competed against the Dallas Christian Chargers. The top scorers of the game were senior Grace Krause, junior Hannah Massingale, and sophomore Sadie Zbranek. The final score was 7-53. When senior Grace Krause was asked about how it felt to play against a former coach she said, “Playing against my old coach was an interesting experience but brought a sense familiarity to the game. I know that it was a big loss, but I hope and know that one day the mustangs will be able to beat the chargers.”

    The Lady Mustangs play again on Friday, January 26, at Waco Vanguard.

    Sky Miller has attended MCA since Pre-K and is currently a freshman. This is Miller's first year in Newspaper and she is very excited. Miller has played volleyball since 6th grade. Outside of school she enjoys playing club volleyball, making art and spending time with family and friends. She is a part of parakletos and enjoys volunteering for MCA. Her favorite Bible verse is Romans 15:13. "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit."

    Bren Williams is a junior attending MCA for three years. This will be her first year in newspaper. Bren will be playing on the MCA volleyball team. In her free time, Williams loves spending time with family and playing sand volleyball with her friends. She attends Cottonwood Creek and is in the youth program. Her favorite bible verse is Isaiah 41:10 "So do not fear for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous hand."
