On Tuesday, April 14, in a tough district matchup, the McKinney Christian Academy Mustangs fell to All Saints with a final score of 10–3, struggling to keep pace with an early offensive surge from their opponents. All Saints came out aggressive at the plate, putting up multiple runs in the opening innings and forcing MCA onto the defensive for most of the game. Despite the deficit, MCA showed resilience. They managed to get runners on base and pushed across three runs, highlighted by a couple of well-timed hits and patient at-bats. However, they couldn’t string together enough offense to close the gap, as All Saints’ pitching settled in and limited further scoring opportunities.
On Thursday, April 16, the MCA Baseball team took another tough 16–2 loss to All Saints in district play, as an early surge from All Saints put MCA on their heels. All Saints continued to apply pressure throughout the game with consistent hitting and timely scoring. MCA was able to get on the board with two runs and showed flashes of solid at-bats, but couldn’t generate enough offense to come back. When junior, Lincoln Pogue was asked about the game, he said, “We did not play our best, but we learned a lot to take into the next games.” MCA’s next game will be Tuesday, April 21st.
