The MCA sophomores left on March 7th for a week-long mission trip to serve the people of Belize. During their stay, they were based at a local camp called Word of Life, which partners with nearby churches to help provide water filters to families in need. Throughout the week, the students worked hard to represent Christ through both their actions and their words, making a meaningful impact on the community. Each day, they went out in small groups, traveling door to door to reach as many families as possible. They provided each household with a water filter—offering clean and safe drinking water—and also shared the message of the gospel, encouraging and connecting with the people they met. Their work required teamwork, dedication, and compassion, and they approached each opportunity with purpose. After a full week of serving, the group had time to relax by going cave tubing, enjoying a fun and memorable experience together. They returned home on Friday the 13th, reflecting on a successful trip where they were able to share both clean water and the hope of the gospel with many families. When asked sophomore, Presley Dreffs, said, “It was really cool to see how a group that isn’t that close get really close over the past week.”
