On Saturday, March 23, the McKinney Christian Academy Track team participated in the John Paul II Invitational located at John Paul II High School in Plano, Texas. The Mustangs placed seventh in the event out of 13 teams with a combined total of 69 points. The girls 4×100 relay team consisting of sophomores Avery Schall, Alyssa Prahl, Natalie Siebrasse and junior Jaden Brock medaled in 3rd place with a time of 53.80s. The boys 4×100 relay team consisting of sophomores Adam Gicheru and Colton Miller freshman Noah Faulkner and junior Caleb Atherton set a new school record with a time of 42.60s and placed 2nd in the event and 1st in district rankings. Sophomore Alyssa Prahl also placed in 2nd place with a time of 18.56s in the 100m Hurdles and 2nd place in the 300m Hurdles as well with a time of 53.23s. When asked about how the Mustangs held strong in this meet, sophomore Alyssa Prahl said, “I’m proud of all of my teammates for finishing strong and competing well within their events”. The team’s next meet will be on March 28 at the University of Texas in Austin, Texas.

Wyatt Neale is currently a Sophomore and this is his first year at MCA. Neale is excited to get involved with the Newspaper and exercise his creative writing skills. Neale also serves on the Worship Band at MCA and enjoys spending time with his friends and family. His biggest priority is his relationship with the Lord.
