On Thursday, September 12, the McKinney Christian Academy Middle School Lady Mustangs D1 team played St. John. The first set was a quick victory for the Mustangs with a score of 25-8. The second set was lost 29-31. The last set was very close, but St. John won 9-15. When eighth grader Kate Thomas was asked about the game, she said, “Even though we didn’t win we tried our best and worked hard. It was good practice for our us and we just need to keep working hard and finishing strong.” The D2 team also played against St. John. Unfortunately, they lost both sets with scores of 20-25 and 11-25. Sixth grader Jada Westra shared her thoughts about the game saying, “We had a rough start but powered through and were almost able to come back. Although we lost, it was a good matchup, and we tried our best.”
Their next game will be on Monday, September 16, against Dallas Covenant.
