Varsity Volleyball Team Beats Tyler All Saints On Lil’ Stangs Night

The Varsity Volleyball Team wins in three straight sets.

On Thursday, September 26, the Varsity Volleyball team played against Tyler All Saints. Senior Bren Williams lead the Lady Mustangs with a total of 12 kills. In the first set they won with a score of 25-21. In the second set they dominated with a score of 25-11. The third set ended with a score of 25-10.  It was also Lil’ Stangs night, and the Lil’ Stangs volleyball teams got to participate in a serving contest. In this contest they tried to serve the ball and hit spots on the other side of the net. Head Coach Tara Ackmann shares her thoughts saying, “It was another good victory for our program and keeping us undefeated in district play.”

Presley Dreffs has been at MCA since 4th grade and is currently a freshman. This is her first year of newspaper and she is excited for all the opportunities this year will bring. Presley is apart of the MCA volleyball program, but also enjoys playing it outside of school. In her freetime, Presley enjoys hanging out with her friends and family. Her favorite memory is when the softball coach surprised the softball team with Nerf guns and water balloons. Presley's favorite verse is Philippians 4:6. "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God."
