On November 5, the varsity volleyball team played Trinity Christian Academy Willow Park. This game was the first round of playoffs. In the first set, the Lady Mustangs brought lots of energy and effort and won the first set. The score was 25-11. In the second set, the Mustangs were up 15-8, and the Eagles got a seven point streak and tied the game up 15-15. After both teams battled through, the Mustangs fell a couple points short and the TCA Eagles won the set 25-22. The Mustangs bounced back in sets 3 and 4 winning both sets with the scores of 25-23 and 25-16 advancing them into the Regional playoffs. Senior Bren Williams led the team in kills with 12. Junior Sadie Blake was interviewed about the game. She said “We did really well as a team and we brought lots of energy. We came out with some nerves but we pushed through and got a great win.”
Their next playoff game is on Saturday, November 9 in Clyde Texas against Lubbock Christian.
