On Monday, February 24, the McKinney Christian Academy boys’ varsity golf team competed at Eldorado Country Club in a tournament hosted by McKinney North High School. Although they didn’t perform as well as they had hoped, they still secured a top-seven finish out of 20 teams. The highlight of the day was sophomore Luke Ryan making an eagle on the 18th hole (par 4), capping off his round with an impressive shot. The team looks forward to improving in their next tournament and building on this experience. When senior, Jude Westra was asked about the day, he said, “It was a good start to the season. We still have a lot of work to put in before the TAPPS competitions and district games, but we are doing well. This course was tough, but we all showed resilience throughout the whole thing.”
Their next tournament is the Cougar Classic being played on Wednesday, April 2.
