On Friday, November 29, 2025, the MCA Mustangs held their first pep rally of the year. The event was held on campus in the Student Life Center. The pep rally was USA-themed, and students across all three campuses were decked out in red, white, and blue. The pep rally began with an opening prayer led by one of our very own Lower School students. Then, time was taken to thank and recognize the Veterans. The varsity football players ran through a massive banner to show their enthusiasm for the upcoming game on Friday, November 29. Hudson Clayton and Adam Gicheru, our MCs of the year, were introduced to the student section. The MCs called out five students from each of the Upper School grades to put on an entertaining game for the crowd. The participants attempted to knock cups off of the opposing team’s pool noodles, while also protecting their own. The juniors secured a victory in this game. Next, the Middle School and varsity cheerleaders performed a routine that raised school spirit to the roof. The MCA band played “Land of 1000 Dances,” to which the varsity cheer team performed a dance routine. All students got excited for the spirit stick, which was awarded to the loudest and most passionate section. The Middle School was granted the spirit stick for this pep rally. To wrap up the USA pep rally, everyone participated in a chorus of the McKinney Christian Academy fight song. One of the cheerleaders who performed at the pep rally, Scout Powell, was asked about her thoughts on getting to cheer at the pep rally and this is what she said, “This pep rally was so much fun to cheer at, and it was so awesome to see everyone’s school spirit as we ran out after the football players who broke through the banner.”
The next pep rally will be held on Friday, October 10.
