On Tuesday, January 10, the McKinney Christian Mustangs had a great win by a score of 9–1 victory over Colleyville Covenant putting together a strong performance on both sides of the ball. The Mustangs offense was hot early and stayed consistent throughout the game. Junior, Angel Rivera, hit his first first home run of the season, a big hit that energized the team and helped extend the lead. On the mound, junior, Ian Mulligan, was impressive in his three innings of work, showcasing a fastball that reached 90 mph. McKinney Christian’s pitching staff and defense combined to allow just one run, securing a great win as the team continues to build momentum with a great start to their season being 3-0. The Mustangs will look to carry that energy into their next game on Thursday, January 12.
