On Tuesday, April 7th, the McKinney Christian Middle School Mustangs had a track meet. The team competed in multiple events throughout the meet against several other schools. 8th grader, Taylor Vineyard, ran in both the 800-meter race and the mile. She recorded times of 2:54 in the 800 meters and 6:45 in the mile. As a team, the Mustangs placed 6th overall out of all the teams competing at the meet. The team also placed second in the hurdles event. 8th grader, Taylor Vineyard, had this to say about the meet: “It was really fun and exciting being out there and getting to run. We all did our best, and it really paid off because we did so well overall.”

Collin Kincheloe has been at MCA since the 4th grade. He is currently in his junior year. This is his first year in newspaper, and he is looking forward to writing all about everything MCA offers. His favorite thing to do in his free time is going to the gym and hanging out with his friends. His favorite memory is going to Hawaii with his family over the summer. He enjoys spending time with his family. He is very excited to work in a newspaper and contribute to writing articles about MCA.
