On Thursday, April 23, the McKinney Christian Middle School track athletes competed with determination, discipline, and grit at the district track meet at Prince of Peace. While the competition was strong, each of our teams gave their best effort. What stood out the most was not just their performance but their character throughout the meet. Our athletes demonstrated what it means to compete with a Christ-centered mindset. They pushed themselves on the track and on the field, encouraged their teammates, and showed encouragement and respect to their competitors. Coaches and spectators took notice, commenting that MCA displayed a Christlike spirit in both the athletes and the coaching staff. While every athlete competed hard and represented our school with excellence, our middle school girls’ D2 team gave an outstanding performance and finished in first place overall. Coach Holley said this about the meet, “They didn’t compete just to win, they competed to represent Christ well.”
