On Thursday, September 7, the McKinney Christian Academy Middle School football team went head to head with Coram Deo Academy for their first home game of the season. The game started off strong for the Mustangs when seventh grader Devin Manigo ran the ball for an early touchdown to start the game off 6-0. Manigo later said, “When I got that ball I just knew what I had to do and I had my eyes on the endzone the whole time.” The Mustangs kept the lead throughout half time with the score being 6-0. Ultimately the Mustangs pulled through against the Lions and won 14-8. After the game, eighth grader Luke Long said, “I’m glad we can keep this streak going and I had faith in this team and we will continue to win and keep this streak alive.”
Their next game will be on Thursday, September 14, against Founders.
