The Lil’ Stangs cheer team performs their routine during tailgate.

On Saturday, September 9th, the Lil Stangs cheerleaders attended a camp to learn and prepare for their performance at the tailgate and the football game. During the camp, the 76 cheerleaders learned six cheers and one dance. The Varsity cheer coach, Michelle Winston, said, “Griffin McAnally and Griffin McGinnis both stood out as they were the only 5th graders, and they did great.” The following week, they performed at the Homecoming tailgate on Thursday, September 14th. They began with their cheers and concluded with their dance. The following night, they joined the Upper School cheerleaders for the first five minutes of the Homecoming football game. Winston also mentioned, “We enjoyed having them and can’t wait to have them again.” The next Lil Stangs clinic will be hosted this upcoming January.

Hi, I'm Bailey and I'm a freshman. I have been attending MCA since 3rd grade. I enjoy playing volleyball, being with friends, and being with family. This is my first year in newspaper and I'm very excited. My favorite MCA memory is going to the championship for D1 in 8th grade and having an undefeated season. My favorite bible verse is Psalms 27:19. "As water reflects the face, so one's life reflects the heart."
