McKinney Christian Baseball Senior Night Recognizes Seniors in Their Second to Last Game Before Playoffs

On April 24, McKinney Christian faced off against TACA Homeschool in a special senior night matchup. The seniors recognized before the game were Noah Melton, Luke Webb, Ben Thomas, Tennyson Clark, Porter Carrol, Dane Johnson, and Jasher Massingale. All of the seniors were given the opportunity to start, with Massingale taking the mound first for the Mustangs. Junior Will Agness came in for relief, followed by Ben Thomas. After Thomas exited, sophomore Cade Ballard closed out the game. Despite the effort and memorable moments, the Mustangs fell 9–1. Senior Noah Melton reflected on the night, saying, “It was a very fun game for all the seniors. Even though we lost, it will be a night I will remember for a long time.”

The Mustangs return to action on Wednesday, April 29, when they take on Trinity Willow Park.

Lincoln Pogue has been at MCA since Pre-K and is currently a junior. This is his second year taking newspaper, and he is looking forward to writing about all of the fun sports that MCA offers. Lincoln plays soccer and baseball. He also enjoys spending time with his friends and family. His favorite memory is winning the state championship in baseball as a sophomore. Lincoln is excited to support MCA by contributing to The Mane Edition as the staff writer. His favorite Bible verse is 1 Corinthians 16:13 “Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love.”

Cana Heckadon has attended MCA since sixth grade and is currently in her sophomore year. This is her second year in newspaper, and she is excited to develop a new skill and make new friends. Cana’s primary sport is basketball; however, she also enjoys spending time with family and friends. Her favorite memory is of her trip to San Pedro, Belize, where she met many new people. Cana is looking forward to enhancing photography for The Mane Edition. With the LORD on her side, she lives by her favorite Bible verse, Luke 6:38 ” Give, and it will be given to you.”
