On Friday, October 21, The McKinney Christian Academy Mustangs went up against the 5-3 Covenant Knights. The Mustangs started the game slow with the score going in to half time being 7-21. Junior Preston Reeves caught the ball at the 5 yard and then he dragged the defender the rest to the way to the end zone for the 39 yard score, cutting their lead to 14-28. Freshman Angel Lopez, in the fourth quarter, knocked the ball out of the running back’s hand, followed by sophomore Jasher Massingale scooping up the ball and racing 19 yards into the endzone to put the score to 21-28. Senior Cash Etheredge surpassed the 1,000 rushing yards for the season and 15 touchdowns for the season. Freshman Lincoln Pogue said, “I feel like we could have won the game if we had the same amount of energy we could have won the game.”
Their next game will be away on Friday, October 27, against Dallas Christian.
