On Friday, November 8, the McKinney Christian Academy Mustangs faced off against the Bishop Gorman Crusaders in the final district game of the season. This game was also Senior Night for the Mustangs, honoring the football team’s one senior, Evan Bleecker, who started as running back for the Mustangs. In this game, Evan rushed for 60 yards and a touchdown. Another notable player in the run game was junior Cody Dow, who scored 61 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown. In the passing game, Dow passed for 206 yards on the Gorman secondary, targeting two main receivers, sophomores Harry Thompson and Lincoln Pogue, with a combined 18 receptions and just under 200 yards. On the defense, junior Jasher Massingale had six tackles, Thompson had five tackles, and Pogue had four tackles. Even with the Mustang’s best effort, they still fell short with a final score of 16-32.
