Senior Spotlight: Evie Breton and Jacob Filippo

Today’s Senior Spotlight is Evie Breton and Jacob Filippo:

Evie has attended McKinney Christian Academy since fourth grade. During her time at MCA, she has been involved in National Honors Society, Varsity basketball and choir. Outside of school, she likes to volunteer in church. After graduating MCA, she plans to attend University of Arkansas and major in communications. Her favorite MCA memory is spending time with friends on mission trips and a fun fact about her is she is a Soprano Section Leader in choir. Evie’s favorite Bible verse is James 1:2-3 

Jacob has attended McKinney Christian Academy since fifth grade. During his time at MCA, he  has been involved in the National Honors Society. After graduating MCA, he plans to attend East Texas A&M and study wildlife conservation. His favorite MCA memory is playing with the lower schoolers during missions week, and a fun fact about him is he has mild hearing loss in his right ear. Jacob’s favorite Bible verse is Proverbs 16:9.

Carrington Lansford is currently a freshman and attending her fifth year at MCA. She enjoys playing basketball in the winter, cheering in the fall, and running track in the spring. Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with friends and family. This is her first year in newspaper as a staff writer and she is excited to be a part of it. Her favorite Bible verse is Philippians 4:13, ” I can do all this through him who gives me strength.”
