Senior Spotlight: Mackenzie Hope and Jasher Massingale

Today’s Senior Spotlight is Mackenzie Hope and Jasher Massingale: 

Mackenzie has attended McKinney Christian Academy since ninth grade. During her time at MCA, she has been involved in worship band, Mu Alpha Theta and National Honor Society. Outside of school, she competes in Taekwondo and is a secretary for her church. After graduating MCA, she plans to attend The Authors Conservatory to become an author. Her favorite MCA memories are all of her trips to New Mexico with MCA, and a fun fact about her is that she plays five instruments. Mackenzie’s favorite Bible verses are Psalm 27:13-14. 

Jasher has attended McKinney Christian Academy since eighth grade. During his time at MCA, he has been involved in baseball and football. After graduating MCA, he plans to attend the United States Marine Corps to become a combat engineer. His favorite MCA memory is playing football and camaraderie with his teammates, and a fun fact about him is he likes to stay active. Jasher’s favorite Bible verse is Psalm 23:4.

Grey Royal is currently a freshman and entering her fifth year at McKinney Christian Academy. She enjoys cheering for her school during the fall and winter seasons. However, during the spring, she runs track for the school. In her free time, she spends most of her time cheering competitively. Grey is excited for her first year of writing as a staff writer for the Mane Edition and is grateful for this opportunity.  Her favorite bible verse is Psalms 91:7-8, which reads:  “A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. You will only observe with your eyes of the punishment of the wicked.”
