Today’s Senior Spotlight is Leslee Buchanan and Ella Van Voorst:

Buchanan has been attending McKinney Christian Academy for 14 years. While at MCA, she has participated in the Yearbook class, Cheer, NHS, Student Government, Student Ambassador, Art, Graphic Design, and Mu Alpha Theta. Outside of school, Buchanan likes to hang out with friends, travel, and volunteer at her church. After graduation, Buchanan plans to attend Baylor University, majoring in Public Health on a Pre-Nursing Track. Her favorite memory at MCA is traveling to New Mexico on a mission trip during her junior year. A fun fact about Buchanan is that she has broken the same bone twice in the same place within six months. Her favorite Bible verse is 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18.

Van Voorst has been attending MCA since Kindergarten. She has been a part of NHS, Softball Sophmore year, Advanced and Portfolio Art, the New Mexico mission trip, and she was a leader in the Costa Rica mission trip. Outside of school, she volunteers with 4th graders at her church and teaches their classes, and she is also active in the youth group at my church. After graduation, she plans to attend Abilene Christian University to study nursing to become Labor and Delivery Nurse. Her favorite memory at MCA is her Sophomore mission trip to New Mexico. A fun fact about Van Voorst is that before she wanted to be a nurse, she wanted to be a baker. Her favorite bible verse is Isaiah 43:2
