On Friday, February 21st the Mckinney Christian boys soccer faced off against Irving Highlands In a heated playoff match. The trailblazers started off hot scoring a goal in the first few minuets of the game, although it didn’t matter because soon after Junior Grady Rodgers pulled up from mid field and put one in the back of the net for the ‘stangs. After some back in fourth, irving responded with yet another goal of their own. But after half the mustangs came out flat with little to no energy, but thanks to the ‘stangs baseball team coming out to support gave the mustangs a second wind to finish the game and they ended up putting two more goals on the trailblazers, the first by Junior Hudson Clayton and the second was a penalty kick scored by Grady Rodgers, his second of the game. The mustangs despite major trash talk from the other team and cold weather conditions persevered and came back to secure the win for the mustangs 3-2, the Mustangs will advance to the second round of the playoffs, playing their next game in Austin on February 24 against Hill Country Christian.
