On Monday, September 18, the Middle School D1 and D2 volleyball teams traveled to Dallas, Texas to play against Providence Christian School. The matches resulted in wins for both teams. The first team that played was D2. Eighth grader, Ellie Mullins said, “Berkley Ballew middle hitter had some really good kills, and everyone had really good saves.” Eighth grader, Emery Doyle said, “We played really fast, and we dominated the other team.” The D2 Volleyball team ended up beating Providence with a score of 25-6 in the first set and 25-8 in the second set. After D2, D1 started their game. In the first set, when asked about the game, eighth grader, Abby Lowe said, “Elizabeth Thompson middle hitter had a really good kill, and a lot of the middles got good blocks. Our best serving was the first set. We all played very good. We had lots of energy, we were controlled, and we were very consistent on how we played.” D1 beat Providence in two sets with scores of 25-6 and 25-13.

The next Middle School D1 and D2 game is at home on Thursday, September 21, against Levine.

Aubrey Hagstrom, staff writer
Hi, I'm Aubrey Hagstrom! I am in 9th grade this year, and I have been at MCA since third grade. After school, I enjoy playing soccer and hanging out with my friends and my little brother. This is my first year in the newspaper staff, and my favorite MCA memory was my 8th grade Spring Semi-Formal.  My favorite Bible verse is Psalm 37:23-24 "The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him; though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with his hand."
