Battle of the Undefeated in District

The Lady Mustangs Varsity Volleyball Team Sweeps Prince of Peace Christian School in 3 Sets.

On Tuesday, McKinney Christian Academy varsity volleyball team competes in a home game against the Prince of Peace Eagles. Both teams walked onto the court undefeated in district play. When asked about how she felt going into the game, Senior Kaylin Starling says “I was excited and confident going into the game. We’ve been preparing for them for weeks, and all our hard work paid off.” The Mustangs and the Eagles both fought hard for the first set. Although the score was close, the Mustangs finished out the first set with a score of 26-24. When asked about how she felt going into the second set, Senior Sky Miller says “After the first set, we had the energy we needed to have a successful second set. I feel like we had a lot of momentum which helped us go into the second set.”The Mustangs dominated the second set with a score of 25-19. The Lady Mustangs finished out the game, winning the third set 25-22. Senior, Kaylin Starling got her 750th career kill, while playing the Eagles. The Mustangs were led by junior Bren Williams with 12 kills followed by junior Kadence Ackmann.  Junior Mia Gunn led the team in dig’s with 16.

The Mustangs host The Brookhill School on Saturday at 1:00.
