Lower School Celebrate One Hundred Days of School

On Tuesday, January 30, the Mckinney Christian Academy Lower School celebrated the one hundredth day of the school year. Students dressed up as if they were a hundred years old and participated in fun games throughout the day. Second grader, Crista Ogroske, said “We built marshmallow towers and chewed gum a hundred times. It was really fun taking a break from school work.” Another second grader, Aria Burtness, said, “The day was really fun and exciting and I’m glad we got to build marshmallow towers.” The students had a fun day celebrating a hundred days of the school year.

Audrey Wedemeyer
Audrey Wedemeyer is a sophomore and has been at MCA since her freshman year. This is her second year in newspaper and she is excited to update others on what occurs at MCA. She also participates in ensemble choir and varsity cheer at MCA. In her free time, Wedemeyer enjoys hanging out with friends, traveling and singing. She has attended Cottonwood Creek church ever since she was little and volunteers every other Sunday. She's looking forward growing in her faith and building new relationships. Her favorite Bible verse is 1 Corinthians 1:28 "God has chosen what is insignificant and despised in the world— what is viewed as nothing— to bring to nothing what is viewed as something."

Jude Bleecker is a freshman and has been at MCA for two years. He is looking forward to this years football season and excited to play and win. He is also involved in basketball and golf and super excited to get into those sports. This is his first year in newspaper and is ready to get started! He loves spending time with my family and friends and love watching sports. Bleecker loves to travel and be with family. His favorite bible verse is Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
