Today’s senior spotlight is Kadence Ackmann and Eric Gressel.

Ackmann has attended McKinney Christian Academy since Pre-K. While at MCA, she has participated in Volleyball, Soccer, Track and Yearbook. Outside of school, Ackmann loves to play volleyball and travel. After graduation, she plans to attend Pace University to play volleyball and major in social media marketing with a minor in fashion marketing. Her favorite MCA memory is winning state in soccer. Ackmann’s favorite Bible verse is 1 Peter 4:8.

Gressel has attended MCA since his freshman year. While at MCA, he has participated in Track and Field, Cross Country and Robotics. Outside of school, Gressel serves at his church. He is undecided on where he will attend after graduation but plans to study finance. His favorite MCA memory is the night before the Cross Country State Meet at the hotel. A fun fact about Gressel is that he was born in Dubai. His favorite Bible verse is Colossians 2:6-7.

Audrey Wedemeyer, Editor-In-Chief
Audrey Wedemeyer is a junior and has been at MCA since her freshman year. This is her third year in newspaper and she is excited to update others on what occurs at MCA. She is very involved in her church, Cottonwood Creek, which she has been attending since she was little, and serves in worship and student ministry there. In her free time, Wedemeyer enjoys hanging out with friends, traveling and singing. She's looking forward growing in her faith and building new relationships. Her favorite Bible verse is Nahum 1:7 "The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him."
