Senior Spotlight: Austin George and Fiona Smith

Today’s Senior Spotlight is Austin George and Fiona Smith:

George has been attending McKinney Christian Academy since the sixth grade. While at MCA, he has played football, baseball, golf and basketball. Outside of school, George likes to golf, hangout with friends and play guitar. After graduation, he plans to attend Oklahoma State University and major in Marketing/Sales. His favorite memory at MCA is broadcasting class. A fun fact about George is that he microwaves his skittles. His favorite Bible verse is 1 Corinthians 13:4-7.

Smith has been attending MCA since her sophomore year. During her time at MCA she has been involved with the Choir program. Outside of school, she likes traveling, babysitting and hanging out with friends. After graduation, Smith will be attending the University of Oklahoma, majoring in Business Marketing. Her favorite memory at MCA is retreat and Homecoming week. A fun fact about Smith is that she has a 17 year age gap with her little sister, Mia. Her favorite Bible verse is Jeremiah 29:11.

Nate Krusing has attended MCA since kindergarten and is currently in the 9th grade. This is his second year in newspaper. He enjoys time with his friends and family and loves playing sports. His favorite sports are baseball and Football. He also enjoys watching basketball. His favorite memory at MCA is winning the Middle School baseball championship. He is looking forward to being a newspaper writer and playing a role in contributing to the Mane Edition. His favorite Bible verse is Philippians 4:6 "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God."
