Senior Spotlight: Max Luna and Ava Thompson

Today’s Senior Spotlight is Max Luna and Ava Thompson:

Luna has been attending McKinney Christian Academy since Pre-K. While at MCA, Luna has participated in Soccer, Football, Baseball, Choir, Theater and Yearbook. Outside of school, he plays club soccer for FC Dallas. After graduation, Luna will play football at Texas Wesleyan and major in Engineering. His favorite memory at MCA is creating a puddle in Coach Brence’s class. A fun fact about Luna is that he can touch his nose with his tongue. His favorite Bible verse is Jeremiah 29:11.

Thompson has been at MCA since the 7th grade. While at MCA, she has played soccer and volleyball. She has also been involved with Yearbook, Student Government and National Honors Society(NHS). Outside of school, she attends YoungLife and has played club soccer for 14 years. After graduation, she will attend Texas Tech University and major in Pre-Nursing. Her favorite memory at MCA was her senior year all-school retreat. She loves hanging out at the pool and hiking with her friends. A fun fact about Thompson is that she is deathly afraid of spiders. Her favorite Bible verse is Isaiah 43:2.

Nate Krusing has attended MCA since kindergarten and is currently in the 9th grade. This is his second year in newspaper. He enjoys time with his friends and family and loves playing sports. His favorite sports are baseball and Football. He also enjoys watching basketball. His favorite memory at MCA is winning the Middle School baseball championship. He is looking forward to being a newspaper writer and playing a role in contributing to the Mane Edition. His favorite Bible verse is Philippians 4:6 "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God."
