On Friday, August 30, the McKinney Christian Academy Varsity football team went up against the catholic college preparatory school, John Paul II. The Mustangs started off fighting hard with great defense that was evenly matched. However, due to the small amount of substitutes and rest, the team was out of breath and could not catch up. Sophomore Corey Sizemore said, “It was a hard-fought battle but it was fun, we came up short and we have to learn from this game.” Ultimately, the Mustangs could not catch up to JPII’s offensive drives and lost by a score of 58-18.
Their next game will be on Friday, September 6, at Fort Worth Country Day.
