Upper School Golf Gets Third Place at their Tournament

McKinney Christian Academy Mustangs get third place at their golf tournament.

On Wednesday, April 2, the McKinney Christian Academy men’s and women’s golf teams had a tournament at Colleyville Covenant. Both teams placed third place. For the girls this was their first tournament, so medaling was a huge deal. The boys also played very well. Senior Jude Westra tied for third individually, shooting a 76. Sophomore Ella Downey talked about the game saying ” The golf tournament went well. Everyone played 18 holes for the tournament. We placed third for girls and boys in the tournament.”

This is Abby’s 2nd year at MCA. She is a freshman. Outside of school Abby enjoys playing volleyball, going to church, and hanging out with her friends. She has been playing club volleyball for 4 years and is on the varsity volleyball team at MCA. Abby’s favorite place to visit is the beach with all her family. This is Abby’s first year in Newspaper and she’s excited to contribute. Abby’s favorite verse is 1 Peter 5:7. “Cast your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”
