On Wednesday, April 22, the MCA sophomore class took a trip to the Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum. The students started the tour by learning about various upstanders during the war and their importance. The tour guides taught the students about different types of concentration camps and the harsh conditions they had to face. They got to see different artifacts from the concentration camps, including the uniforms and shoes of the Jewish victims. An original box cart was shown where they could go in. Wrapping up the trip, all the students and chaperones had lunch at North Park Mall. Sophomore, Lyric Scott, shares her experience, saying, “I felt the field trip was very impactful and eye-opening, and I’m proud I got to see this once-in-a-lifetime experience.”
