On Tuesday, March 31, the McKinney Christian Academy boys’ varsity golf team competed at Iron Horse Golf Course in a tournament hosted by Colleyville Covenant. The Mustangs got 14th place overall for all the teams. The best score for the team was Junior, Luke Ryan, shooting a 74. Junior, Harry Thompson, shot his best score in the tournament this year with an 89. The highlight of the day was Ryan making an eagle on the 11th hole (par 5). The team looks forward to improving in their next tournament and building on this experience. When Kerico was asked about the day, he said, “It was a good start to the season. We still have a lot of work to put in before the TAPPS competitions and district games, but we are doing well. This course was tough, but we all showed resilience throughout the whole thing.”
Their Next Tournament is on April 4th at Watters Creek.
