The McKinney Christian Academy Volleyball team hosted their fourteenth annual Tournament of Champions. This Tournament took place from August 24-26. The Mustangs went 6-0 on the first day of pool play. Senior Sky Miller says “going 6-0 helped grow our confidence as a team and made us excited for the games ahead.” On Saturday August 26, The Mustangs competed in the Gold bracket. The Mustangs won their first two matches against Prestonwood North and Nazarene Christian Academy. Next up was the championship match against Ovilla Christian, a team they recently beat in 5 sets.  The Mustangs fell short against the Eagles and finished runner up in the 14th Annual Tournament of Champions. Three Mustangs were also voted All Tournament team, senior Kaylin Starling and juniors Kadence Ackmann and Mia Gunn.

Next up the Mustangs play at home against First Baptist Academy August 29.
