MCA Varsity Volleyball Remain On Top In District

Mustangs fight hard for another district win.

Varsity Volleyball holds up a W for another win

On Tuesday, October 17, the Lady Mustangs traveled to Waco Vanguard for another district match. The Mustangs won the game in four sets. The first set scores were 23-25, with the Mustangs coming short of the win. Sophomore Sadie Blake finished the game with 10 kills. The Lady Mustangs stepped up in the second set, coming out with a win with a score of 25-17. Junior Mia Gunn led the team with 27 digs. The Mustangs got on a good run, finishing the third set 25-17. Senior Sky Miller says, “We played strategically and had high energy pushing through our struggles.” Varsity Volleyball fought in the fourth set to come out with another win in district, staying undefeated.

The Mustang’s next game is Thursday, October 19, away at Prince of Peace for their last district game of the season.

In her free time, Williams loves spending time with family and playing sand volleyball with her friends. She attends Cottonwood Creek and is in the youth program.
