On Thursday, October 12, the Lady Mustangs faced Dallas Christian for their Senior Night. Senior Night is the last home district game of the season and honors the seniors and their volleyball careers at McKinney Christian Academy. Before the game began, this year’s seniors, Kylie Mullins, Kaylin Starling, Sky Miller, and Allie Stephenson were announced and presented with gifts from their teammates. In the first set of the match, the Mustangs started off down at 0-7, but Allie Stephenson aided the Mustangs to get back ahead with her aces. Allie Stephenson led the team with four aces. The Mustangs ended up winning the first set 25-15. In the second set, the Mustangs continued to fight hard against the Chargers and won 25-15. In the third set, the Mustangs struggled to play at the same pace as in the first two sets. Unfortunately, the Mustangs fell short in the third set losing 23-25. When Senior Kylie Mullins was asked what made the difference between the Mustang’s play in the third in fourth set she said, “The biggest difference was our confidence. In the fourth set, the Mustangs defeated the Chargers winning 25-13.  We were making a lot of unforced errors in set three which allowed them to get back on their feet.”

The Mustangs will play again on Tuesday, October 17, against Waco Vanguard.
