On Friday, January 5, the McKinney Christian boys Varsity basketball team faced off against Waco Vanguard in their first district game. Before the game, Senior Uriah Boutte said this about this game, “It’s a must win to start off the district season with a statement.” MCA finished on top in crushing fashion with a final score of 82-24. Boutte and junior Landry Draper led the team in points. After the game, junior Jace Scott talks about the win saying, “We came out and handled business like we knew we would do, we had a good week of practice leading up to this and all we can do is get ready for our next game.”
Their next game will be away against Dallas Covenant on Tuesday, January 9.
