On Thursday, October 5, the Lady Mustangs headed east to face Tyler All Saints. The Mustangs started the game off to a strong start with a score of 25-16. The second set was more competitive and the Mustangs struggled to keep the same intensity as set one, but they ultimately pulled through and won the set with a score of 25-22. In the third set, the Mustangs picked up the pace and secured the victory with a score of 25-16.  When junior Brooklyn Claudio was asked what made the difference between the second and third set to allow the Lady Mustangs to win in a sweep, she said,“I think the team’s attitude made a big difference. In the third set we all played with high energy and good attitudes. And rather than playing as individuals like we did in the second set, we made sure to work as a team to secure the win.”

When senior Kaylin Starling was asked what is the team focusing on to continue to securing victories in the second round of district she said, “The number one things we are thinking about is controlling out side of the court and playing to our standards. We are more balanced team this year so we have a better time playing to our standards consistently.”

The Mustangs will match up with Shelton on Tuesday, October 10, and will host Senior Night on Thursday, October 12, against Dallas Christian.
