MCA Boys Basketball White Out Opener

Varsity Basketball Hosts Their First Game of the Season

On Tuesday, November 7, The McKinney Christian Academy Varsity basketball team played against Coram Deo for their first home game of the season. With the theme being White Out, the students were handed shirts to wear and snowballs to throw at the court after the the Mustang’s first score. The Mustangs quickly took control of the game and started the game off with a major lead. At halftime, there was a shooting contest for Middle School and Lower School students. The winners received gift cards as prizes. Ultimately, the Mustangs won 95-22. Junior Landry Draper said, “It was a great start to the year.”

The next game will be on Thursday, November 9 against Fort Worth All Saints, at Grapevine Faith.

Luke Ashcraft is a freshman at McKinney Christian Academy. Ashcraft started attending last year as an 8th grader. Luke only plays basketball, but he plays in school and out of school leagues. Luke is excited for the basketball season, and newspaper. Luke's favorite book of the bible is 1 Peter because it gives an encouraging reminder that we should always have hope when we are suffering.
