McKinney Christian Basketball falls to St. John’s School

The Mustangs drop another preseason game.

On Saturday, November 18, the McKinney Christian Varsity Boys team faced off against St. John’s School of Houston at home. The McKinney Christian Mustangs ended up losing 92-66, the Mustangs were only down 6 points going into the second half, but the lead for St. John’s only grew as the game went on. After the game Uriah Boutte had this to say, “We have to regain focus, we lost to a good team and this will be a good learning experience for us and the team going forward.”

The Mustangs will face off against Lubbock Trinity School at the Grace Prep tournament November 30th.

Landry Draper will be in his second year at McKinney Christian Academy, entering the eleventh grade. This is his second year in Newspaper and will be the Business Manager. Landry enjoys playing basketball and pickleball in his spare time. He also takes a light interest in pottery when he is not enjoying sports. His favorite memory is winning the 2022 TAPPS art competition with an abstract sculpture. His favorite Bible verse is Isaiah 40:31.
