On Tuesday, February 6, The McKinney Christian Academy varsity women’s basketball team played Tyler All Saints for Senior Night. There were three seniors being recognized on Senior Night, Emily Barnhill, Meilania Vance and Grace Krause. At the end of the game the Mustangs were tied with the Trojans with a score of 43-43. The game went into overtime and the Mustangs came out on top with a score of 54-46. Barnhill led the game with 28 points, Krause followed with 11 points and sophomore Sadie Zbranek with eight points. When asked about how they played as a team Barnhill says, “It was the best we have played as a team all season. We were feeding off of each other and the crowd. Everyone produced and made plans in the clutch.”
The next game will be away against Dallas Christian on Friday, February 9.
