Choir’s Annual Dinner Show

Choir Preformed at the McKinney Christian Academy Annual Dinner Show with the theme of Decades
Choir%E2%80%99s+Annual+Dinner+Show

On Saturday April 29, the McKinney Christian Academy Choir hosted their annual dinner show in the Student Life Center at 6:00 p.m. The theme for the show this year was decades. Solos were performed by seventh grader Maddy Swan, freshman Ana Weimer, sophomore Audrey Wedemeyer, junior Cal Emley, senior Grace Krause, junior Jaden Brock, junior Gavin Fletcher and Choir Director Amy Jordan. The Vocal Ensemble performed “Help!” “John Denver in Concert” and “Never Gonna Give You Up.” Following, the choir came together and sang “September”, “Don’t Start Believin’”, “Sweet Caroline”, “My Girl” sung by the boys and “Dancing Queen”, sung by the girls. Choir Director, Amy Jordan then presented awards. Freshman Jack Nobles was presented with the Outstanding Award and Fletcher was presented with Upper School Choir Director’s Choice Award, recognizing all their efforts throughout the year. After the awards, a slideshow of pictures of the year was shown. The choir ended the concert by singing “The Lord Bless You and Keep You.”

Sky Miller has attended MCA since Pre-K and is currently a freshman. This is Miller's first year in Newspaper and she is very excited. Miller has played volleyball since 6th grade. Outside of school she enjoys playing club volleyball, making art and spending time with family and friends. She is a part of parakletos and enjoys volunteering for MCA. Her favorite Bible verse is Romans 15:13. "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit."
