Mustangs Dominate Irving Highlands

Mustangs celebrate a goal.

On Tuesday February 3 the McKinney Christian Academy varsity boys soccer team played against Irving Highlands. The Mustangs beat Irving 6-1, The Mustangs goals were scored by, freshman Noah Faulkner, Sophomore Hutson Clayton, junior Tripp Barbour and seniors Max Luna and Liam Corley. When asked about how the game went Luna said ” I think we played very well and it’s nice to see us fixing some problems we made earlier in the season, I’m excited to see how the boys prep for the rest of the year.” The Mustangs next game will be Monday February 5 for senior night against Temple Christian.

Nicholas Catullo is currently a senior and has been attending MCA since 1st grade. This will be his second year in newspaper. Catullo will be competing in cross country, soccer, and golf for his school. In his freetime, he enjoys racing in Ironman triathlons with his dad and hanging out with friends and family. His favorite memory at MCA is going to the cross country State Championship  his freshmen year. His favorite bible verse is Isaiah 41:10 “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

Emma Ashcraft is a junior this year. She joined MCA as a freshman. This is her third year in Newspaper and she is excited to be photography editor in the class. Ashcraft is a part of a dance team at the The Dance Movement and has been dancing ever since she was little. On the weekends, she enjoys being outside and hanging out with friends. She attends Preston Trail Church and serves in the 2nd grade room every Sunday. Her favorite bible verse is Psalms 119:37. "Turn my eyes from worthless things, and give me life through your word."
