Middle School Track Runs at Liberty Christian Argyle

On Tuesday, March 27 McKinney Christian Academy Middle School Track team competed at Liberty Christian Argyle for their second meet of the year. There was a different division for 6th, 7th, and 8th. 6th grader Adeline Ohrn took 2nd place in the 6th 2400 meter run. 7th grader Cole Huffman got 2nd place in the 7th grade 110 meter hurdles. 6th graders Jada Westra, Chiara Villa, Grisham Barbour, and Emma Gastulum got 3rd place in the 4×100 and the 4×200. 7th graders Katherin Maguire, Berkley Ballew, Everett Neuner, and Madeline Swann got 3rd place in the 7th grade 4×200. 6th grader Iyla McKeehan got 2nd place in discus and 1st in shot put. 7th graders Carrington Lansford, Laura Kuhlhorst, Berkley Ballew, and Grey Royal got 3rd place in the 7th graders 4×400 relay.

The next meet will be the Texas Private Middle School State Championship on Tuesday, April 2nd at Brookhill.

Luke Ashcraft is a freshman at McKinney Christian Academy. Ashcraft started attending last year as an 8th grader. Luke only plays basketball, but he plays in school and out of school leagues. Luke is excited for the basketball season, and newspaper. Luke's favorite book of the bible is 1 Peter because it gives an encouraging reminder that we should always have hope when we are suffering.
